Helen Leighton, Vice President of Luxury Brands & Communications at Marriott International for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, talks about JW Marriott's growth in Africa as a continuation of its tradition of exceptional hospitality. She mentions the brand's focus on holistic well-being and creating meaningful connections across the continent. Leighton describes JW Marriott Hotel Nairobi as a reflection of the city's contemporary urban lifestyle, combining African warmth with peaceful spaces where guests can relax, stay in the moment, and reconnect with what matters most to them.

An Urban Sanctuary - Bringing the Outdoors In

The hotel's interior design draws heavily from Kenya's stunning landscapes, rich heritage, and natural colors. George Wong's design for the property is influenced by the essence and narrative of an African journey, featuring a color scheme inspired by the savannah's earthy browns, vibrant Maasai reds, cultural terracotta, and safari greens that are integrated into its various spaces.

These design decisions elevate the city's luxury experience, offering purposeful spaces where guests can immerse themselves in Africa's essence while enjoying modern urban amenities. The hotel showcases a curated selection of art, including sculptures, handmade ceramics, wall murals, and regional textiles, all narrating the captivating story of Kenya's stunning landscape.

The guest rooms and suites, which include a Presidential Suite, provide a modern sanctuary for guests to relax and rejuvenate while enjoying stunning city views. The spacious serviced apartments, located on the top nine floors of the tower, will offer luxurious and exclusive experiences for long-term guests and families in one, two, and three-bedroom layouts.

Fostering Connections

JW Marriott Hotel Nairobi provides more than 1,700 square meters of outstanding meeting and event spaces equipped with cutting-edge technologies, suitable for various occasions ranging from corporate events and meetings to family gatherings and celebrations. The Grand Ballroom, without pillars, accommodates up to 800 guests and serves as an inspiring venue adaptable to different events, including upscale weddings. The hotel also promotes sustainability in its meetings, implementing strategies to minimize waste, manage waste responsibly, and enhance energy efficiency to lessen the environmental impact of events.
