According to the latest figures from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS), arrivals from India for the year ending January 2024 totaled 402,200, exceeding 101% of 2019 levels. This achievement represents the first instance where Tourism Australia has recorded over 400,000 arrivals from India, establishing India as the 5th largest inbound market for Australian tourism in 2024, a substantial rise from its 7th position in 2019.
